We think it's an ideal place for staying in Big Sky. The location is stunning and great for exploring Big Sky. Set in 20 minutes' walk to the downtown, the staff are really friendly and super-friendly. The amazing restaurant is a nice plus. Loved the fact that we chose it, would love to stay here again.
Can’t fault the property in any way!

Our stay at Lone Mountain Ranch was a dream come true. The charming Bald Eagle cabin provided the perfect rustic chic atmosphere, complete with a record player and cozy wood fire stove. The abundance of snow made for fantastic skiing and snowboarding, and the Saloon offered live music and flights of Montana whiskey. The breakfast at Horn and Cantle was a must-try, with homemade scones that were simply amazing. The highlight of our trip was the magical sleigh ride dinner in the gently falling snow. We can't wait to come back and experience more of Montana in the summer. I highly recommend Lone Mountain Ranch for a dreamy getaway.

The ranch is beautifully located, with picturesque views of the surrounding landscape and easy access to the nearby town. Guests praised the friendly and accommodating staff, with excellent service provided in both the restaurant and saloon. Visitors enjoyed a range of activities on offer, from horseback riding to hiking and fishing. The lodging provides a rustic and relaxed atmosphere, with comfortable cabins and housekeeping services.
Some guests reported difficulty with texting instead of calling the front desk to request services, which resulted in roaming charges for those not from the US.

The winter package we booked was perfect for our family. There were activities for skiers and non-skiers alike, with guided backcountry trips and XC skiing right from our doorstep. The food was delicious, and we were grateful for the boxed lunches provided for those heading up to the mountain. The staff also took care of all the details, from ski rental to transportation.
We had some negative experiences with the reservation desk staff before our arrival. The person we spoke with was often rude and unhelpful, causing us to feel frustrated and concerned about our upcoming trip.

Really enjoyed the warm welcome from the driver and the little extras like snacks and water. The location was breathtakingly picturesque and there were plenty of outdoor activities to do. The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious and the staff were exceptionally accommodating to dietary requirements.
Some small concerns were that there was a lack of staff to greet guests, causing a delay in check-in. Additionally, there was a noise complaint despite our cabin being quiet all week, which was handled poorly with a late night text and no investigation into the source of the noise.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
